| For those of you not familiar with NYC's theater and cabaret scene, Rusty Magee was a legendary composer and performer. He and Lewis ran the West Bank Café Downstairs Theatre Bar in NYC for many years and co-wrote The Czar of Rock and Roll, a musical about the rise of an Elvis-like icon in the USSR. Lewis hosted a tribute to his friend and collaborator May 2002 and this CD, Sweet Appreciation, was the result.
Read more about Rusty and purchase the CD here. On a sad note.....Rusty Magee passed away February 16, 2003 after a long bout with cancer. |
